Aspects of determining fBs: scaling and power-law divergences
نویسنده
چکیده
We present preliminary results for the decay constant of the Bs meson, fBs , at three values of β = 5.7, 6.0 and 6.2 using NRQCD and clover fermions for the heavy and light quarks respectively. As a consistency check the decay constant has also been extracted from the axial-vector current at finite momentum. In addition, we discuss the cancellation of O(α/(aM0)) terms and the remaining uncertainty in fBs from higher order divergences.

The power law scaling, geometric and kinematic characteristic of faults in the Northern part of the Kerman Coal Province (KCP), Iran
According to numerous studies, there are basic and initial scaling relationship for the geometric and kinematic characteristics of faults. The study area is located in the northern part of the Kerman coal province. The statistical calculations are consisting of: measure the surface density of faults per unite area and division of the area, determining the direction of the dominant faulting and...
متن کاملApplication of Rheological Modeling in Food Emulsions
Various scaling methods such as relative viscosity, Peclet and Reynolds scaling were used to find the best scaling law. Scaling and modeling of the flow curves of various model emulsions consist of Tragacanth Gum (TG) (0.5, 1 % wt), Oleic acid (5, 10% v/v) and WPI (2, 4 % wt) were investigated and the best models were selected. As these emulsions are non-Newtonian, they do not obey the usual...
متن کاملTHE SCALING LAW FOR THE DISCRETE KINETIC GROWTH PERCOLATION MODEL
The Scaling Law for the Discrete Kinetic Growth Percolation Model The critical exponent of the total number of finite clusters α is calculated directly without using scaling hypothesis both below and above the percolation threshold pc based on a kinetic growth percolation model in two and three dimensions. Simultaneously, we can calculate other critical exponents β and γ, and show that the scal...
متن کاملTaylor's power law: before and after 50 years of scientific scrutiny
Taylor's power law is one of the mostly widely known empirical patterns in ecology discovered in the 20th century. It states that the variance of species population density scales as a power-law function of the mean population density. Taylor's power law was named after the British ecologist Lionel Roy Taylor. During the past half-century, Taylor's power law was confirmed for thousands of biolo...
متن کاملAn Improved Power Law for Nonlinear Least-Squares Fitting?
Models based on a power law are prevalent in many areas of study. When regression analysis is performed on data sets modeled by a power law, the traditional model uses a lead coefficient. However, the proposed model replaces the lead coefficient with a scaling parameter and reduces uncertainties in best-fit parameters for data sets with exponents close to 3. This study extends previous work by ...
